Modern methods of quality management
Kadilák, Tomáš ; Zahálka, Jiří (referee) ; Kotek, Luboš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis processes topic: Modern methods of quality management. Basic and newer tools of quality management are described in this work and mutual comparison of their use in products’ life cycle. The results were obvious: basic tools are more focused on process itself and measurement of actual process, whereas newer tools design, plan and create completely new process and making it as efficient as possible even before they are brought into practical use. The second part of thesis describes three chosen methods which are diametrically different from previous ones. Kanban, system supporting lean production idea and lowering quantity of storage in process and store room, 5S method is increasing orderliness and lucidity in whole production and on each workplace and DMAIC method is used for complex problem solving and fulfilling customers’ requirements. In the end is evaluation, that despite of high usability of basic and newer tools there are cases in which they fail and is necessary to use one of the three chosen methods.
